80 in 80: The Quidditch Post

All of the World Cup previews to date have been looking at the teams that will be attending, so in today’s 80 in 80 we’re sitting down with Quidditch Post CEO Andy Marmer to talk about the organization.

Quidditch Post: You all have had a lot of recent success with recruiting. To what do you attribute your strong showing?
Andy Marmer: Our group is very talented.

QP: Your performance has been very good lately. Who deserves the credit?
AM: We’re more than good...we’re grreat.

QP: Would you say you have you any stars?
AM: We’re all-stars here. Somebody once told me the world is gonna roll me. I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed. She was looking kind of dumb, with her finger and her thumb in the shape of an 'L' on her forehead. Well, the years start coming and they don't stop coming. Fed to the rules and I hit the ground running. Didn't make sense not to live for fun. Your brain gets smart but your head gets dumb. So much to do, so much to see, so what's wrong with taking the back streets? You'll never know if you don't go. You'll never shine if you don't glow.

QP: How would you describe the Quidditch Post’s style?
AM:I wouldn’t say we have a style. We adapt to the circumstances.

QP: Do you have any goals?
AM: We want to be the very best, like no one ever was.
QP: You’ve received some criticism in the past. How do you respond?
AM: Haters gonna hate, hate, hate. Shake it off, shake it off.

QP: What do you want our readers to know about the Quidditch Post?
AM: With great power comes great responsibility.

QP: Thank you for your time; we really appreciate it.
AM: YOU FOUL, LOATHSOME, EVIL LITTLE COCKROACH!
