By Andy Marmer, Quidditch Post CEO
The Quidditch Post can confirm after exclusive negotiations that we’ve reached a deal with Prince Akbani Williams that will help finance the Quidditch Post going forward.
“Prince Akbani reached out to us two nights ago with an inexorbitant amount of money,” said CEO Andy Marmer. “We simply couldn’t say no.”
While the Quidditch Post has yet to receive any of the promised funds, they plan to use it to buy the trademark to the word “Quidditch” from Warner Bros. and start their own professional league worldwide.
“None of us got into this for the money,” said Marmer. “We don’t plan on making any profit off of this.”
The Quidditch Post will use its $200 million sum to fund “The Quidditch Post League” a worldwide quidditch league where all participants will earn an annual salary. First class travel will be covered for all participants and they will be expected to compete on an international scale.
The Quidditch Post expects to receive the money by international wire transfer sometime next month after paying its final $500 processing fee to the National Bank of Nigeria.
More details will be announced as information becomes available.
