The Quidditch Post is thrilled to announce that Alex Scheer will be joining us as our new Marketing Director. In this role, Scheer will principally responsible for ensuring that the Quidditch Post’s content reaches as broad an audience as possible and helping to expand the sport of quidditch.

“I’m thrilled to have Alex on our staff,” said CEO Andy Marmer. “Our paths have crossed numerous times and I’ve always been impressed with his professionalism, accomplishments, and view of what quidditch can become. I think he’ll be an excellent addition to our team.”
Scheer, a co-founder of Blue Mountain Quidditch Club has served many roles in quidditch. He presently serves as the Events Director for Major League Quidditch as well as the Regional Coordinator for the USQ Great Lakes Region. On top of that he is an active player and referee and was named the USQ Referee of the Year this past season.
On the marketing side Scheer is perhaps most known for arranging the first televised quidditch match working with the Buckeye Cable Sports Network to televise matches between The University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University. Scheer has also worked extensively on the event planning side and will bring that expertise to the Quidditch Post as well.

"I think that together we can really work to provide a quality articles, social media coverage, and up to date content that will assuredly satisfy the masses. I'm grateful for the opportunity to spread my marketing wings and help The Quidditch Post find new ways to attract a bigger audience. This partnership will be nothing but a good thing."
