The Quidditch Post is excited to announce that Alexis Moody will be our new VP Media. Moody has extensive experience in the production of multimedia content for quidditch and previously served as the IQA Video Manager and the Founder of Rogue Sports TV.
“I had the opportunity to work with Alexis in the IQA and was always impressed by her work ethic and the quality of her productions,” said Quidditch Post CEO Andy Marmer. “I’m confident she’ll be an outstanding addition to our team.”
Moody will also bring along the Rogue Sports TV library of footage. The network’s YouTube channel will be converted into a Quidditch Post outlet.
As VP Media, Moody will oversee videos, podcasts, and other forms of digital media.
“The quidditch world is ever expanding with new teams popping up seemingly every day. My main goal for media on the Quidditch Post is to celebrate that growth with quality content over a variety of mediums,” Moody said. “This goal will be achieved through podcasts and web series driven by the community's ideas, gameplay footage that employs good angles and focused shooting, and a commitment to bringing these aforementioned ideals around the globe. These are admittedly not easy tasks but through the passion and strength of our burgeoning workforce I wholeheartedly believe it can be done.”
The flagship effort of this department will be the project proposal process. Through this detail-oriented planning stage we will ensure that our content is economically and creatively viable.
"Through previous experience, I found that disorganization was at the crux of a lack of optimal productivity," Moody said. "These proposals allow ideas to be organized and ultimately the best version of the content we can produce."
Proposals must be received no later than one month before the proposed start date. These proposals can be submitted by anyone who has an idea for podcasts, fiction and nonfiction narratives, and web series (like Snitch Center or the Pitch). Please contact us at quidditchpost@gmail.com if you are interested in proposing or being part of a project.
The Quidditch Post is always looking for on-air personalities, script writers, video editors, and contributors in numerous other areas, so please do fill in this form if you are interested in joining us.
